How the service works

Dilly and Taylor offers you a personal consultation at your venue or at our showroom in our home in Thurlby (between Bourne and Stamford near Peterborough).

Over coffee and a friendly chat we can develop a clear idea of what you wish to achieve and can suggest ideas to help you to realise your perfect setting. Here you can view our extensive range of glassware, candelabra, swags, covers and sashes in an array of colours and finishes.

Dilly and Taylor will make the venue exclusively yours, with each detail tailored to reflect your individuality and style; whether you want simplicity, sophistication, bubbly fun, elegance, opulence, high fashion, a dramatic effect or a theme, we can work with you so that your guests will recognise your personality in the décor itself.

The consultation is absolutely without obligation. We prepare a fully itemised quote for you based on your needs and hold the quote and date in our diaries on a provisional basis.


Should you wish to book our services, we ask for a deposit to secure the booking, with the balance payable six weeks prior to the event. We will be in touch with you every step of the way and liaise directly with you and the co-ordinators at your venue so that you can be assured of a seamless service with minimal effort on your part.

The day itself

On the appointed day we will go to the venue, in accordance to arrangements made with you and the co-ordinators there, in plenty of time to get everything ready for your entrance. We steam press each chair cover, hand tie the sashes and arrange swags, drapes, and place all table decorations. We leave well before you are due to arrive; with the venue looking just as you dreamed it would.
